đž Hardware Upgrades
Need more speed? We'll upgrade your gear without the upsell crap.
The Problem
Your computer's slow because the hardware is outdatedâspinning hard drive, 4GB RAM, bottlenecked CPU. A $150 SSD upgrade often gives you more speed than buying a new $800 laptop.
But most shops either oversell you stuff you don't need, or quote you $400 for a 30-minute job. We don't do that.
How We Fix It
We assess what actually needs upgrading (not what's most profitable to sell you), install the hardware, and get everything running:
- Hardware assessment - We tell you what'll make the biggest difference
- Component sourcing - You can buy it yourself or we source it at cost (no markup)
- Professional installation - SSDs, RAM, whateverâwe handle it
- Data migration - SSD upgrades include full disk cloning (your OS, apps, filesâeverything)
- Post-upgrade optimization - Make sure everything's configured properly
Most upgrades done in 90 minutes to 2 hours. You get your machine back the same day.

$225-$300 total
Labor: $150 (includes disk cloning and optimization)
SSD: $80-$150 depending on capacity (500GB-1TB)
Typical 90-minute job. Gives most computers a massive speed boostâboot times drop from 3 minutes to 15 seconds.

$75-$100 labor + RAM cost
Quick install (30-60 minutes). We'll tell you the max your system supports and what makes sense for your use case.

Common Questions
Is an SSD upgrade worth it for my old computer?
Almost always yes. If your system is from 2015 or later with a spinning hard drive, an SSD makes a huge difference. Boot time drops from 2-3 minutes to 10-15 seconds. Apps open instantly. It's the single best upgrade for most machines.
What if I want to keep my old drive as a backup?
We give it back to you. You can keep it as an external backup (we'll install it in a USB enclosure if you want), or wipe it and repurpose it.
Can you upgrade my laptop?
Depends on the laptop. Older models (pre-2018) usually have upgradeable RAM and storage. Newer thin-and-lights often have everything soldered. We'll check your specific model and let you know what's possible.
Do you build custom PCs?
Yes, but that's a separate service. If you want a new build from scratch, contact us and we'll discuss specs and pricing.
